What makes Sedra Solutions stand out in the legal tech space, particularly in the litigation practice, compared to other available platforms?
Sedra Solutions was founded and developed by experts in forensic accounting, so we know from experience how painful financial investigations can be. Time is of the essence when it comes to recovering funds, especially in white-collar litigation, but analyzing millions of transactions from a variety of data sources can take months.
We couldn’t find an investigation tool that would streamline the ingestion of large financial data sets and provide accurate, detailed insights, so we built it ourselves. Some tools only handle data in English, others can only read bank statements. Some ingest data but don’t let you navigate and sort through it or provide analytics. We do all of it.
We designed our platform with AI to handle all types of data, in many different formats and languages. It’s a powerful investigation tool that lets you quickly get answers, whether it’s looking for hidden funds in a divorce case or just following up on a gut feeling that something isn’t quite right. The faster you get to the truth, the higher the chance of recovering funds. That’s where Sedra Solutions really stands out.
How does Sedra Solutions incorporate cutting-edge technology to solve common pain points faced by law firms and in-house teams in litigation?
We use AI to handle data ingestion and cleaning, which makes the data processing phase up to 90% faster. Sedra can ingest PDFs, Excel spreadsheets, hard copies, and almost any other format you have received your data in.
After the data has been processed, our advanced algorithms provide answers you simply couldn’t get before. We flag irregular transactions so you know exactly where to look in the data set for suspicious activity. And our state-of-the-art dashboards make it very easy to see connections between parties and spot outlier activity at a glance.
Could you highlight the key features of Sedra's solutions that are specifically designed to improve legal workflows and increase productivity within litigation practices?
Typically, litigators rely on third-party experts to perform investigations because of the nature of the data being analyzed and the skillset required to make any sense of it. But you shouldn’t have to send an email to your forensic accountant every time you have a question, especially when you need to move quickly.
Sedra’s platform allows you to take control of your data, get answers quickly, and make informed decisions based on the results. This feature, and the streamlined data ingestion I mentioned earlier, address the biggest pain points litigators face with regard to financial investigations.
What role does AI and machine learning play in Sedra’s solutions, and how does it differentiate your product offerings from competitors in terms of accuracy and efficiency?
The vast majority of investigation time is actually spent on data ingestion and cleaning. Using AI, we were able to reduce that time by up to 90%. We also use machine learning to flag irregular transactions and assist in the investigation, helping you spot potential fraud that was previously invisible. Similarly, we can provide reassurance when no fraud has occurred. In financial investigations, the process of elimination is crucial, and with Sedra, you can quickly eliminate possibilities as part of your investigation.
How does Sedra Solutions ensure scalability and flexibility to accommodate both small law firms and large in-house teams in their litigation needs?
Our platform enables both large and small firms to access data in a simple, streamlined way. This allows smaller firms to handle large data sets confidently, helping them compete with bigger firms.
At the same time, it allows larger firms to focus more on data analysis while making data access more affordable for all businesses, facilitating the management of large projects. And because our platform is in the cloud, firms of all sizes save on IT costs associated with installation, configuration, maintenance, and so on.
Additionally, we take security very seriously and are SOC 2 Type 2 verified. You send us your data, we process it, and you get answers — quickly and securely.
What will Sedra Solutions be bringing to Future Lawyer UK this year, and what can attendees expect to experience from your team at the event?
In my talk on Wednesday, I’ll cover the revolution that’s taking place in financial investigations and how technology is transforming the landscape. I’ll also discuss construction and procurement fraud, which is a problem area that has been largely ignored and is a key opportunity for legal firms. And during our demo session earlier that day, we will walk through our platform and answer questions, so don’t miss that session. We’re also available for individual meetings, and attendees can book time with us in advance or just stop by our booth.
